The Big Prize for literature goes to Agda Bavi Pain. The first prize of prestigious international literary award Bank Austria Literaris 2008 - The Big Prize for Literature from Eastern and Southeastern Europe has won book "The End Of The World" (Koniec Sveta) by Agda Bavi Pain from Slovakia. Critically acclaimed novel received many literary awards already in the past and a feature film based on the book is in development at present.
Book containing 17 murders and no funeral is a killer thriller about Central European underworld and it´s main character is old school villain and Iron Maiden fan recently released from prison. Originally published by L.C.A. in 2006 the book is now available in German translation "Am Ende Der Welt" (Wieser Verlag, 2008). Agda Bavi Pain is punk-metal writer, scriptwriter and a journalist. Controversial artist, author of unique book of satanic poetry "Bones & Skin" (Kosť & Koža, 2002) - but also writer for big TV shows, soap operas and advertising - is the scriptwriter of the new slasher movie "Death Factory: Young Blood" (Fabrika Smrti: Mladá Krv) which comes out in late 2009.
